Thomas Liebich

Thomas Liebich is a long standing member and contributor to buildingSMART from its start as IAI in 1996. His involvement with IFC development dates back to the earliest version. Since 1999, when the Model Support Group has been created, he acts as the MSG leader.

Thomas is responsible for the overall IFC schema architecture, and particularly for

• the core definitions,
  
• the geometry, topology and geometric models
• the geometric presentation definitions
• the geometric placement definitions
  
• the basic property definitions, including quantities
• the building element definitions.
  
• the architectural element definitions.
